¿Gobernanza o desgobierno en las relaciones económicas internacionales?
Keywords:

In the context of the current international economic crisis, International Economic Law faces great challenges attributable primarily to an increasing trend towards a certain informality in the decision-making process and the loss of influence suffered by various international organizations. This paper adopts two perspectives in its analysis of the problem. First, it examines the proliferation of regional trade agreements, which are leading to a reduction in the importance of the WTO and the legal certainty it provides. Second, it analyses the role of the G20 in global economic governance — above all with regard to its effectiveness, with the consequent marginalization of the traditional international organizations, against a backdrop of extreme economic adversity and turbulence.
