Abstract

International Relations has come a long way to achieve a space in REDI in accordance with the development of the discipline in Spain. Papers on International Relations, as well as the continued presence of professors of International Relations in the journal's governing bodies, began to be recurrent in the second half of the 1990s, which represents a gap of almost two decades with respect to the consolidation of the discipline in Spain. Despite the normalization of the presence of International Relations in REDI, there are still few professors in the discipline who publish in it. Although there is no gap in terms of category, there is a generational gap. Coming from a tradition of enlightened essay writing, the works on International Relations in REDI currently focus on three main topics: The Theory of International Relations, the least; the analysis of the international system (evolution, security, actors, and actuality), the most; and foreign policy (of the great powers and Spain).
