This contribution intends to pay a tribute to REDI in its seventy-five-year anniversary (1948-2023). The phases it has gone through are born out of the circumstances, both external and internal. However, the most relevant ingredient has been and will always be the community it upholds, those who have made its very history come true. Today's REDI derives from a sustained effort along the most relevant crises under diverse leaderships in terms of visions, organs’ composition, and dynamics, overcoming its historical problems, revealed quasi ab origine. This work is based on a documentary investigation and wants to bring to light, narrate and gloss, the very existence of REDI. The journal has undoubtedly demonstrated its ability to adapt to changing times. Furthermore, it has not just adapted, but overcome, improved, and progressed through them. However, there are always challenges on the horizon. The future is about to be written; We must learn from the past. This study, considering the critical assessment role vested on academicians, aims to address the future, proposing critical lines where there is still room for reflection.
